Jacquelyn Williamson will speak on her research at the Kom el-Nana sector of Tell el-Amarna (ancient Akhetaten), specifically the Sunshade of Re temple of Queen Nefertiti.  Through associations with Nefertiti, this area may have played a very active role in the funerary cults of certain members of the Tell el-Amarna population during the always-intriguing Amarna Period of Egyptian History
